Client Overview
Keypath Education is a global higher education consulting company that provides research & strategy, enrollment marketing, and other education services to universities. SkillsCamp has partnered with Keypath Education on multiple engagements to enhance employee well-being and leadership skills across their global teams.
Engagement 1: Community Mental Health
Challenge
In June 2020, Keypath Canada recognized an opportunity to support their workforce during the challenges of the global pandemic by enhancing mental health awareness and well-being. Committed to the development of their people and leaders, Keypath sought to provide employees with practical tools to improve their mental well-being, support one another, and empower leaders to foster a culture of mental health. With a strong focus on well-being, inclusion, and belonging, Keypath aimed to offer a virtual platform where employees could connect, learn, and develop essential skills to thrive and navigate this unprecedented time.
SkillsCamp Solution
SkillsCamp designed a custom, live online “Community Mental Health” 90min program, followed by a “Community Mental Health for Leaders” 90 min program. Both came with “manager follow-up guides” so that those who lead the employees who attended could continue the learning in meaningful ways after the sessions.
Results
- 88.5% of participants rated the SkillsCamp facilitator “extremely engaging” or “very engaging, especially for online!”
- 84.6% of participants said they would recommend or were “very likely” to recommend the program to a colleague.
- 80.8% said they felt “very well supported” or “well supported” by Keypath during that time.
Engagement 2: Working Remotely
Opportunity
The sessions were so successful, Keypath US (and later expanded to global) wanted to continue a second set of workshops centered around helping people work from home more effectively.
SkillsCamp Solution
SkillsCamp designed 2 new 90min programs on Virtual Communication and the second on Being Productive at Home.
Engagement 3: Inaugural Global Future Leaders Program
Opportunity
SkillsCamp was highly successful in both Canadian and US offices, leading Keypath leaders to choose us as their partner for designing, developing, and delivering the first Global Future Leaders Program.
SkillsCamp Solution
To align the program with the organization’s core competency framework, SkillsCamp conducted discovery calls with Keypath leaders to identify the desired skills. The outcome of this collaboration was a six-month program consisting of six live online sessions with pre-work and post-work assignments for each session, monthly meetups for accountability groups, and monthly mentorship sessions.
Results
- 80% of participants rated the program 8 or higher on how valuable they feel the program is.
- 84.4% of participants rated the program 8 or higher on how they’re experiencing the program.
- 89.1% of participants said they would recommend or were “very likely” to recommend the program to a colleague.
Engagement 4: Year 2 – Global Future Leaders Program
Opportunity:
Keypath hired SkillsCamp to deliver the second iteration of the successful leadership program to a new group of future leaders in 2022.
SkillsCamp Solution
For the second cohort, SkillsCamp conducted a second round of discovery to compile insights from the inaugural program and make necessary improvements. The second program was built on the same framework and layout as the first one. It covered various aspects of leadership, such as communication, teamwork, and more!
Results:
- 80% of participants have rated the program 8 or higher on how valuable they feel the program is.
- 84.4% of participants have rated the program 8 or higher on how they’re experiencing the program.
- 89.1% of participants said they would recommend or were “very likely” to recommend the program to a colleague.
Engagement 5: Three Multi-Level Leadership Programs
Opportunity
In 2023, SkillsCamp was given the opportunity to design, develop and deliver three more leadership development programs for Keypath. The programs were designed for leaders at various levels within the organization, and the delivery of each program overlapped.
SkillsCamp Solution
SkillsCamp designed, developed, and delivered all four programs and received highly positive feedback. Each of these programs were designed with a specialized curriculum, mentorship, retention activities, accountability, and involvement from current leadership to ensure learning was deep and practical. It was also designed with a global perspective to account for differences between Canada, Australia, and the US.
See below for details on each program.
Future Leadership Program:
The program was designed for emerging leaders and those with high potential. This was the program’s third iteration delivered to future leaders at Keypath, following two previously successful cohorts. One participant successfully transitioned to a leadership position after graduating from the program and quickly moved on to participate in the second People Leader Academy cohort.
Results:
People Leader Academy (2 Cohorts):
The second program was created for mid-level managers and was delivered to two groups, one after the other. The program included a coaching component, offering participants two 30-minute coaching sessions with an experienced executive coach. It also involved a 360-degree feedback assessment, a psychological capital assessment, and a mix of asynchronous and synchronous work to enhance leadership capabilities. Some participants in this program had successfully completed previous Future Leader Programs that we had delivered.
Before delivering the second group, we made necessary updates and changes to the program based on key insights from client and student feedback to make the program’s second iteration even more impactful.
People Leader Academy Masterclass:
The third program was designed for senior leaders. This program included a coaching component where participants received two 30-minute coaching sessions with an experienced executive coach. It also incorporated 360 feedback assessment, psychological capital assessment, and a blend of asynchronous and synchronous work to enhance leadership capabilities.
