What is SkillsCamp?
SkillsCamp is a global leader in soft skills and leadership development, as well as the outcomes those things produce.
We offer a range of tailored programs that focus on essential skills like communication, adaptability, and emotional intelligence, and scaffold them into programs such as “Giving Difficult Feedback” or “Future Leader Academies”.
Our services include leadership development, team-building workshops, and custom training in areas like conflict resolution and inclusive communication.
This learning is supported by consulting, coaching, and assessments.
With a strong commitment to delivering real-world results, we partner with organizations across industries to build organizational success through the professional and personal development of their people.
Our History
SkillsCamp began when co-founders Bailey Parnell and Hamza Khan were working in Student Affairs at a Toronto-based university. They supported departments such as health and wellness, career centers, and learning support, where they saw firsthand the growing need for essential soft skills like resilience, empathy, personal branding, productivity, focus, and communication.
These were the skills students needed to succeed but weren’t learning in the classroom.

At the same time, governments began reporting that soft skills were becoming the most critical competencies for future jobs, and businesses were echoing the same message—they needed employees with strong soft skills, but no one was teaching them. Recognizing this gap, Bailey and Hamza decided to take their expertise beyond the university and into the wider world. From there, SkillsCamp was born, growing into a global leader in soft skills development and leadership training.

When we succeed, we won’t need to exist anymore. Learning about effective human-centric leadership or skills like emotional intelligence would just be taught in schools and commonplace.
Until then, our vision is to lead the global movement in human-centric leadership and soft skills development, to ultimately shape future-ready individuals and resilient organizations.
