Teaching Philosophy

I’m a firm believer in Kolb’s Experiential Learning Theory. I recognize and value different learning styles, and believe that knowledge is truly retained once it’s been applied and reflected upon. Therefore I utilize a variety of teaching styles and activities in my classes to allow for a more complete and meaningful experience. I’m also a believer in the adage, “when the student is ready, the teacher shall appear.” SkillsCamp was built on that philosophy, and I strive to make myself available through a variety of mediums to connect with my students and continue the learning long after the formal education is over.
